Welcome to our Tent Hire FAQ page , How to rent a tent from IBEX Camping. We've put together a selection of our most commonly asked questions from customers who are looking to rent a tent.

Our Camping Tent Hire Service will be celebrating 12 seasons in 2023 and we are delighted to now be able to offer a full range of camping tent hire for backpackers , festival goers , family campers and Glampers , together with an extensive range of Camping Equipment to Hire.

How do I hire a Tent From IBEX Camping?  each of our Tent pages you'll see several options , we've tried to keep these as uncomplicated as possible , any feedback would be great. Completing these options will give us all the information we need to check availability and prepare your bespoke quotation form. 
Do I need to make payment when I place my order?  There's no need to make any payment when you submit your order , please checkout using Tent Hire Orders in our payment methods , this will ensure your not directed to a payment gateway. We'll send payment instructions once you have confirmed your booking. 
Submitting your  order  generates an enquiry for us to create your bespoke quotation from. Once we receive your order we'll check availability and pop a quotation to you via email , it would be great if you could also check your spam / junk folders as we sometimes arrive there too!   

How many days will I be Charged for?  All our tents and camping equipment are charged on a daily rate , per day of hire ( not per 24 hour period). We charge from the first day or your hire period until the last day , if we're shipping your order to you we dispatch your tent in good time allowing you enough time to check prior to using. 

How do I confirm my booking?   Once you have received your quote it's valid for 7 days , to confirm your booking all we need is a 10% non-refundable deposit with your balance due 14 days prior to your the start of your Hire Period

Can I get a copy of your Terms and Conditions?  You'll receive a copy of our Terms and Conditions once you have let us know that you would like to go ahead and  confirm your booking , prior to us receiving your deposit. If you would like a copy a little sooner , please get in touch and we'll send you a copy. 

Do you arrange shipping and collection?  if you would like your Hire Tent shipped we use either Parcelforce or DHL to Deliver and collect our Parcels , the cost of this service is dependant on the size of the tent and / or equipment you have selected , these costs will be included in your quotation and we'll always give great advice to get the best option for you. Prices start from £8.00 each way.  Make sure you keep your boxes :)

Will I need to be at home for delivery / collection?  We would need someone to sign for the delivery of your Tent and also for the collection , leaving safe can sometimes leave parcels vulnerable. We can though arrange for collection from a work address to make things a little easier , for smaller tents up to 20kg we can also send a pre paid ParcelForce label , allowing you to drop the parcel off at a local Post Office. Both our courier services offer a fully tracked service. 
Can I collect from IBEX Camping?  Yes you are more than welcome to collect from us , we can arrange for your tent to be ready for collection as soon as you arrive. 

I've never pitched a tent before?  That's not a problem your tent will come with full instructions , we are able to talk you through step by step over the phone too. Our family Team of experienced campers are familiar with all our hire tents. If your collecting from our premises , we can demonstrate pitching the tent for you.

What happens if my tent is wet?  If your tent is Wet or Damp  (including Condensation)  please  let us know as soon as possible we’ll then arrange for our couriers to collect as soon as possible or be available for you to return your tent. Once back with us , we’ll pitch, dry and pack the Tent away , we charge £25+VAT  for this service.

Do I need to Clean my tent?  It would be great if you could also ensure that your Tent and / Or Camping Equipment is clean and free from mud (please don’t apply any cleaning products to tents as this can damage the fabrics)  – we also charge a fee for Cleaning Tents and/or equipment. If you need any advice or guidance please don’t hesitate to get in touch , please text or call 0797 290 7029.  
Is your damage waiver refundable? Yes your Damage Waiver is returned once the stock is back with us and checked , in the unlikely event that there may be any damage we have a great repairer , who is very reasonably priced and the cost only is charged back to the damage waiver. Any deductions for damp/wet or dirty tents will also be charged to your Damage Waiver if available. 
What happens if I need to cancel due to restrictions or COVID-19? your booking is in safe hands for 2021 , take a look at our Safe Hands Booking. 
Can you pitch my Hire Tent?  Yes we are able to offer tent pitching , locally within a 20 mile radius , we just charge a mileage cost to travel to your destination or campsite , we work with several local campsites offering ready pitched tent hire, simply book your pitch let us know and your tent will be ready when you arrive. Give us a call for our up to date pitching charges for 2020 , we also have special rates for group bookings. 

Can you provide Tent hire for Events?  We would be delighted to put together a bespoke quotation for your event , we can offer ready pitched Tent hire specifically suit the requirements of your guests and are more than happy to travel a little further a field for group bookings.  We have been delighted to supply wedding tent hire , sporting event tent hire , corporate event tent hire and Tent Hire for family get together ! 

I have never been camping before, can you offer advice?  Yes if you let us know how many you are looking to sleep , our family team of experienced campers will  be delighted to put together the perfect camping package for you and your family. 

What equipment will I need?  Feel free to browse our Camping Equipment Hire pages , we are always happy to add to our hire range , so if you can't find the item your looking for let us know or browse the retail pages and we'll get back to you with a daily charge.

When is the latest I can make a Tent Hire Booking?  We can usually prepare and process tent hire bookings within 2 days , although at busy times particularly during the summer months we may need a little longer to prepare your tent for you.

Is my price all inclusive? your price includes your daily tent hire charges and your delivery charges it doesn't include your refundable damage waiver ( please see above) 
Can I add days to the dates offered? Unfortunately we are unable to add to these pre allocated dates , we have plenty of availability though on our standard Tent Hire Pages for collection / shipping or pitched! 
Terms and Conditions - we'll send a copy of our Terms and Conditions on receipt of your order , if there is anything your not happy with we'll simply cancel your booking and void your payment. 
What happens with my payment?   We take payment for our simply Tent Hire at the time you place your order , althougn we don't 'capture' your payment until you are completely happy to proceed with your booking.  This enables us to be able to simply void your payment if your not 100% happy with your booking.
